  I went to this salon a few times- always got good color service at fair prices. The girl who normally did my hair cancelled my appointed with only a a couple hours warning FOR THE SECOND TIME, so being that this was the second time this had happened I was a little less understanding. I called the salon myself, and explained that I really needed this color service done, and the owner was able to call someone else in for my appointment. So I go in, hoping to lighten my hair a little. My hair was a darker/ash blonde (it was by NO means a dark color to begin with) and I brought in a picture of myself with showing her how my hair used to look. We finish, and my hair doesn't look any different. The girl who had done my hair could tell I wasn't happy and told me if it didn't lighten up a little over the weekend that I could come back and she could fix it. So I go back, bring the same picture of myself with me, and end up with platinum blonde, yellow-looking hair. This looked NOTHING like the picture!! I had HORIZONTAL streaks across my hair where the foils had bled, the chunks of blondes were of various shapes, sizes, colors, and shades. I looked absolutely horrible. The roots were different colors from the ends, and there were random darker pieces that had not been lightened at all. When my hair was dry I sat there STUNNED. I went to work the next day and multiple asked if I had gotten a bad dye job from a hair school student or if i'd done it myself at home!! There was no way I was going to let anyone from that salon come near my head a third time, and I ended up going somewhere else, and paying for another appointment at Design 1. Thankfully they were able to get me in the next day so I only had to leave my hair like that for 1 day, and they actually knew what they were doing and did a great job. I've been going there ever since. I was going for a very suble change, and Jayme Janel Salon couldn't handle that (keeping the same shade of blonde and everything, just a couple shades lighter)- I'd understand it not turning out right if I was going for a dramatic change, but that was not at all the case here. I certainly would not recomment this salon for any type of color service.
